Dr. Lauren Kinter

Dr. Lauren Kinter started at South Buffalo Springs Animal Hospital in October of 2021 to join the expanding reproductive team as an experienced professional. She graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 then completed a comparative theriogenology internship in 2015, which provided her with exclusive specialty training in reproduction of all species. At the completion of her internship, she practiced in North Carolina, where she continued to hone her reproductive skills, including semen collection and shipment, infertility work ups, transcervical insemination, and breeding management with fresh and frozen semen. On the side, she worked relief emergency shifts as well. Dr. Kinter is a candidate for alternate route board certification in theriogenology and will soon test to become a board certified reproduction specialist. In addition to reproduction, she loves soft tissue surgery, preventative care and client education, and believes strongly in communication with the client to find the best path forward for the patient. She is certified in Pennhip radiographs for evaluation of hips and can help with any OFA needs as well. Outside of work, Dr. Kinter enjoys spending time with her twin sons and husband, who is board certified in equine internal medicine, as well as her menagerie of one horse, two cats and three dogs.
