Dr. Meera Patel

Dr. Patel was born in Southaven, Mississippi and raised in Bartlett, Tennessee. After spending her high school years volunteering at an animal shelter, she decided she wanted to take it a step further and pursue becoming a veterinarian. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2023. She joined the South Buffalo Springs Animal Hospital family soon after. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and geriatric patient care. Her favorite breeds to work with are Labradors and Golden Retrievers. When Dr. Patel is not in the office, she enjoys going to the gym, discovering new music, spending time outdoors, and cheering on the LSU Tigers!
